Before scheduling your free consultation with us, review the answers to some frequently asked below to learn what to expect during and after your dermaplaning session. If you have any additional questions, don't hesitate to call us!
Many people receive dermaplaning once per month or in conjunction with another service.
Dermaplaning can be done on almost any part of the body. It is typically done on the face and neck. Please ask your esthetician about any areas you would like to have dermaplaning and they can guide you on the proper session for each area.
Your dermaplaning session will last approximately 30 minutes. You will lay back and the esthetician will perform the dermaplaning procedure using a professional grade sterile scalpel.
dermani MEDSPA® uses only Georgia licensed staff to perform our procedures. Our staff trains other estheticians to perform the procedures we do each day. Many of our clients report experiencing sensitive skin after their dermaplane facials, so we encourage you to wait at least four hours before washing your face so that it has time to rest and recover from the treatment.
Once your skill feels less irritation, you can use warm water and a gentle cleanser to wash it, but avoid using harsh products and abrasive washcloths.
Makeup application may not be the best option if applied too soon after treatment. Therefore, it’s best to allow your skin at least 24 hours to heal from the treatment.
After waiting the recommended 24-hour period, gently apply your makeup and avoid anything that may irritate your skin.
Here at our Buford dermani MEDSPA®, our dermaplane facials usually take 20 to 30 minutes. During this quick appointment, your service provider will wash and dry your skin and then begin the procedure. They’ll also review the procedure with you, provide you with aftercare instructions, and answer all your questions.
