How often should I get Dermaplaning?

What can I expect during my Dermaplaning session?

Your dermaplaning session will last approximately 30 minutes. You will lay back and the esthetician will perform the dermaplaning procedure using a professional grade sterile scalpel.

How long after dermaplaning can I wash my face?

While you might feel tempted to wash your face immediately following your treatment, we recommend waiting at least four hours to give your skin time to heal and recover.


Your skin may feel sensitive and prone to irritation, so wash with warm water and a gentle cleanser. Also, avoid exfoliants and harsh products for at least two weeks.

How soon after dermaplaning can I wear makeup?

Using makeup too soon after your treatment could cause breakouts or infections. That’s why we advise waiting at least 24 hours before putting on makeup so your skin can rest and recover from the treatment. After waiting the suggested time frame, be gentle with your skin when applying makeup products.

How long does a dermaplane facial take?

The good news is that your dermaplane facial will only take around 20 to 30 minutes. During this time, your service provider will answer your questions, review the process with you, and then wash and dry your face before beginning the procedure.
