JUVÉDERM® FAQs

Is JUVÉDERM® safe?

JUVÉDERM® injectables are extremely safe if done by Medical Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants like those that inject at dermani MEDSPA®. All of our injectors are trained directly by the team at Allergan. Swelling and bruising is extremely common and can last up to 2-4 weeks after the injection.

How long does it take for Juvederm® filler to settle?

It typically takes our Juvederm® fillers two to three weeks to settle fully. The results will vary, but the filler usually lasts nine to 12 months until your body reabsorbs it. .

What do I need to know before getting Juvederm®?

To achieve the best results, we encourage you to avoid booking aggressive skincare treatments, like microneedling, before your Juvederm® session. We also ask you to refrain from drinking alcohol before your treatment. 


It’s also a good idea to avoid taking nonsteroidal medications like Advil, Motrin, and Aspirin. However, if you’re currently taking prescribed medicine, speak with your doctor before you stop taking it.

How long will the results of JUVÉDERM® last?

JUVÉDERM® will last approximately nine months to one year in the body and then will be reabsorbed. No guarantee can be made on the actual length of time of the results.

Who is not a good candidate for Juvederm®?

We recommend that you avoid cosmetic injections if you are currently nursing or pregnant. Also, if you’re experiencing a skin infection, it is best to avoid treatment until the condition improves.

What can I expect during my JUVÉDERM® session?
