How often should I get Dermaplaning?

Many people receive dermaplaning once per month or in conjunction with another service.

What areas can be targeted with Dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning can be done on almost any part of the body. It is typically done on the face and neck. Please ask your esthetician about any areas you would like to have dermaplaning and they can guide you on the proper session for each area.

What can I expect during my Dermaplaning session?

Your dermaplaning session will last approximately 30 minutes. You will lay back and the esthetician will perform the dermaplaning procedure using a professional grade sterile scalpel.

How long after dermaplaning can I wash my face?

Following your session, your skin will likely feel sensitive and prone to irritation. That’s why we recommend giving it at least four hours to rest and recover from the treatment.


Once your skin feels like it’s calmed, you can wash it with a gentle cleanser and warm water. It’s best to avoid using any abrasive washcloths or harsh products for at least two weeks.

How soon after dermaplaning can I wear makeup?

We want your skin to look and feel its best, so we advise waiting at least 24 hours before applying makeup to help prevent infections and breakouts. This waiting period allows your skin time to breathe and heal from the treatment.


When you decide to apply makeup, be gentle with your skin and avoid using harsh makeup brushes or sponges.

How long does a dermaplane facial take?

Our dermaplane facials typically take 20 to 30 minutes. During this quick session, our service providers will review the procedure with you, prepare your skin, and then begin the facial. If you have any questions along the way, our team will be happy to help!
