dermani MEDSPA® offers a Cosmetic CEU Laser Practitioner course for recertification. First-time laser renewal does not require any continuing education hours, but for any subsequent renewals you will need five (5) hours to renew. Our course is Physician-taught and includes instruction on laser theory and safety. This course is pre-recorded, meaning students can learn from the comfort of their own home. Students have access to the course recording for 30 days, meaning you are able to determine when you watch.


This course meets Georgia Medical Board Guidelines for recertification of Senior Laser Practitioners and Assistant Laser Practitioners by providing the required 5 hours of Continuing Education on lasers. You must be 21 years old or older to participate in this course. This class is available to current Senior Laser Practitioners and Assistant Laser Practitioners. Upon completion of the course, you will receive a certificate of completion of 5 hours of continuing education.

What can I expect during the Cosmetic CEU Laser Training?

Our Medical Doctor will teach in-depth aesthetic laser theory and laser safety. The class recording also includes a quiz over material covered during the course. The correct answers and explanations are provided. A passing score is not required in order to obtain certification.

How long is the Cosmetic CEU Laser Training Course?

The course contains about 5 hours of training. Because our class is recorded, students have access to the recording for 30 days and can complete the training on their time.

Where is the Cosmetic CEU Laser Training course offered?

Our course is taught by our Medical Doctor via a virtual recording of the course. The link to the recording of the course is provided to the student once registration is completed.

How many continuing education hours do I need to renew my license?

Per the Georgia Medical Board: For your first renewal you will not need any continuing education hours, but for any subsequent renewals you will need five (5) hours to renew. Assistant and senior laser practitioners can obtain laser continuing education credit for courses from the following: Courses approved for Category I credit by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME); courses approved for Category I Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit by AAPA, AMA, AOA, and NCCPA; laser courses approved by the Georgia Board of Cosmetology; laser courses approved for Category I credit by Medical Association of Georgia (MAG); laser courses approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing; courses sponsored by the Georgia Composite Medical Board; or courses taught by a licensed physician specific to laser practice and safety.
