Assistant and Senior Practitioner Training
Our course provides excellent training and an extensive base of knowledge for:
- Laser hair removal services
- Intense pulsed light lasers (IPL) photofacials and services
Hands-On Experience
- Our training course includes hands-on training
- Students model by performing laser services on each other so that all students can experience the laser both as a practitioner and as a client
- Comprehensive instruction including initial conversation with client, all service steps and after-care instructions
- Provides the certification hours required prior to licensure by the Georgia Medical Board
- Certificate of training provided upon completion of course

- This course meets Georgia Medical Board Guidelines for Senior Laser Practitioner and Assistant Laser Practitioner Certification Requirements.
- Small class size to ensure plenty of individual attention and time for one on one instruction and to answer questions.
- You must be 21 years old or older to participate in this course.
- $900/student
- Courses are available to students currently in esthetics school or graduates.
- This course is a one-day training event.

Cancellation Policy:
If student cancels the course 5 or more days prior, they receive a full refund. If student cancels 4 days or less, the student will forfeit the entire amount.
If student is a no-show to class, the student will forfeit the entire amount of the paid class.

Meet Our Instructor
Dr. Beth Littlefield, MD received her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, and completed an Internal Medicine Internship and her Emergency Medicine residency training at Emory University in Atlanta. She has great interest in Dermatology and Aesthetic Medicine, and after 21 years of practicing Family and Urgent Care Medicine, she was blessed to be selected as Medical Director of dermani MEDSPA®. The medspa has seen tremendous growth from one to thirty one locations in less than ten years, and is the #1 provider of Botox® in Georgia and Top 25 in the U.S., the #1 provider of SkinPen® in Georgia and #6 in the nation, and the #1 provider of IMAGE Skincare® in the U.S. As medical director, Dr. Littlefield has been instrumental in creating excellence in the Assistant and Senior Practitioner Training program, leading to the great success of dermani MEDSPA® laser practitioners.

Georgia Medical Board Frequently Asked Questions about Cosmetic Laser Licensing
Anyone who is not a physician with an active Georgia license that provides non-ablative cosmetic laser services. If you are a PA with Board approved additional duties or an APRN with a protocol agreement that includes performing cosmetic laser services AND you ARE NOT supervising an individual that requires an Assistant Laser Practitioner license, you do not need a separate laser license. If you ARE SUPERVISING an individual that requires an Assistant Laser Practitioner license, you need a Senior Laser Practitioner license.
Laser hair removal devices, intense pulsed light devices, and non-ablative light based devices.
Assistant Laser Practitioner: Holds a current active license as a PA, LPN, RN, APRN, esthetician, or master cosmetologist; or has previously held a license as a RN, APRN, PA, or physician; has 3 valid laser training certificates; Assistant Laser Practitioners can only treat patients under the supervision of a physician or Senior Laser Practitioner. Senior Laser Practitioner: Holds a current active license as a RN, APRN, or PA; or has previously held a license as an RN, APRN, PA or physician. The applicant must have three (3) years; has at least 3 years of clinical or medical technological experience. Clinical rotations in medical, nursing, or PA school would not satisfy this requirement; has 2 valid laser training certificates. You may not upgrade from an Assistant Laser Practitioner to a Senior Laser Practitioner without a license as a RN, APRN or PA.
Certificates should be from courses in the area of cosmetic laser services, equipment safety and operation, procedures, and relative skin modalities, directly taught by a licensed physician or ACCME certified continuing medical education or continuing education educator.
Only complete applications which include all necessary supporting materials and the fee will be considered. Applications received without the fee will not be processed.
No. You will still need to apply for a Georgia license.
You do not require direct on site supervision when performing laser hair removal or IPL treatment. Performance of any other light based cosmetic laser procedure requires direct on site supervision.
