What is Facial Dermaplaning?

At dermani MEDSPA®, we offer facial dermaplaning, an evidence-based skincare treatment geared toward enhancing the look and feel of your skin. 

During this procedure, a board-certified professional uses a sharp blade to gently remove dead skin cells from the top layer of the skin on your face or neck. The scalpel scrapes away that top layer to help remove imperfections in the skin, like acne, scars, and signs of sun damage, revealing renewed and undamaged skin underneath.

 

This procedure also helps accelerate cell turnover and encourages new skin cells to form. That said, how often should you dermaplane? How often should I get Dermaplaning?

Many people receive dermaplaning once per month or in conjunction with another service.

What areas can be targeted with Dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning can be done on almost any part of the body. It is typically done on the face and neck. Please ask your esthetician about any areas you would like to have dermaplaning and they can guide you on the proper session for each area.

What can I expect during my Dermaplaning session?

Your dermaplaning session will last approximately 30 minutes. You will lay back and the esthetician will perform the dermaplaning procedure using a professional grade sterile scalpel.
