Is JUVÉDERM® safe?

JUVÉDERM® injectables are extremely safe if done by Medical Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants like those that inject at dermani MEDSPA®. All of our injectors are trained directly by the team at Allergan. Swelling and bruising is extremely common and can last up to 2-4 weeks after the injection.

How long does it take for Juvederm® filler to settle?

While there is no set time frame, you can expect your Juvederm® fillers to settle within two to three weeks of your appointment. The temporary results may last anywhere from nine months to a year, but results can vary from person to person.

What do I need to know before taking Juvederm®?

Before booking a session, it’s important to understand some of the side effects associated with fillers. For example, it’s common to experience slight swelling, bruising, or redness around the injection site for a few days. However, if you experience trouble breathing or speaking, you should contact your injector and physician right away.


It’s also essential to understand how to prepare for your appointment. We advise against drinking alcohol or booking an aggressive skincare treatment, such as microneedling, before your session. It’s also best not to take Aspirin, Motrin, Advil, or other non-steroidal medications unless otherwise instructed by your doctor.

How long will the results of JUVÉDERM® last?

JUVÉDERM® will last approximately nine months to one year in the body and then will be reabsorbed. No guarantee can be made on the actual length of time of the results.

Your JUVÉDERM® session will last approximately 30 to 45 minutes. Your JUVÉDERM® injection will feel like slight pricks, however our JUVÉDERM® injectors are highly trained to give you the best experience possible.
