How often should I get dermaplaning?

Many people receive dermaplaning once per month or in conjunction with another service.

How long after dermaplaning can I wash my face?

You may notice that your skin feels sensitive or prone to irritation following your treatment, so it’s best to allow it time to heal and calm down. We recommend waiting at least four hours before washing your face. 


When you wash your face, use warm water and a gentle cleanser and avoid harsh products.

What areas can be targeted with dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning can be done on almost any part of the body. It is typically done on the face and neck. Please ask your esthetician about any areas you would like to have dermaplaning and they can guide you on the proper session for each area.

Is there any downtime after dermaplaning?

The good news is that there isn’t any downtime associated with dermaplaning. Your skin may be a little red and more sensitive than usual, but you should be able to resume your normal activities. 


That said, following our staff’s post-appointment instructions is essential. This usually involves avoiding direct sunlight, wearing sunscreen with SPF, and using a gentle moisturizer. Please contact us if you have questions or concerns about your recovery process.

What can I expect during my dermaplaning session?

Your dermaplaning session will last approximately 30 minutes. You will lay back and the esthetician will perform the dermaplaning procedure using a professional grade sterile scalpel.
