Is JUVÉDERM® safe?

JUVÉDERM® injectables are extremely safe if done by Medical Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants like those that inject at dermani MEDSPA®. All of our injectors are trained directly by the team at Allergan. Swelling and bruising is extremely common and can last up to 2-4 weeks after the injection.

How long does it take for Juvederm® filler to settle?

While results vary from person to person, you can generally expect to see full results within two to three weeks of your appointment. The filler typically lasts nine months to a year.

What do I need to know before taking Juvederm®?

There are a few things to consider before receiving Juvederm® injections. For starters, review the side effects to understand how your body may respond to the treatment. You may experience mild bruising, swelling, or redness at the injection site, which should subside within a few days. Other side effects could include eye or brow drooping or flu-like symptoms. If you’re concerned about your reaction, contact your injector or doctor for guidance. 


It’s also important that you properly prepare for your appointment. We ask you not to drink alcohol or book aggressive skincare treatments before your session. Also, avoid taking Aspirin, Motrin, Advil, and other non-steroidal medications. If you’re taking a prescribed medicine, talk with your doctor to determine whether you should take the medication before your appointment.

How long will the results of JUVÉDERM® last?

JUVÉDERM® will last approximately nine months to one year in the body and then will be reabsorbed. No guarantee can be made on the actual length of time of the results.

Who is not a good candidate for Juvederm®?

If you are currently nursing or pregnant, it’s recommended that you avoid cosmetic injections. Also, if you’re experiencing a skin infection, wait for your skin to heal before scheduling your appointment.

Your JUVÉDERM® session will last approximately 30 to 45 minutes. Your JUVÉDERM® injection will feel like slight pricks, however our JUVÉDERM® injectors are highly trained to give you the best experience possible.
