JUVÉDERM® is used to target wrinkles and lines around your mouth and nose. The results of JUVÉDERM® will generally last about 9-12 months. This does vary from person to person and no guarantees can be made on this time frame.

Is JUVÉDERM® safe?

JUVÉDERM® injectables are extremely safe if done by Medical Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants like those that inject at dermani MEDSPA®. All of our injectors are trained directly by the team at Allergan. Swelling and bruising is extremely common and can last up to 2-4 weeks after the injection.

What do I need to know before taking Juvederm®?

There are a few things you should know before receiving Juvederm® fillers.


First, these cosmetic injectables produce temporary results, meaning the filler will begin to dissolve starting within nine to 18 months of your treatment. 


Second, you need to know how to prepare for the procedure to achieve the best results. This involves refraining from drinking alcohol and booking aggressive skincare treatments before your session. We also ask that you avoid taking Motrin, Aspirin, Advil, or other non-steroidal medication on the day of your appointment. However, don’t stop taking any prescribed medication without consulting your doctor. 


And third, it’s important to familiarize yourself with the potential side effects of these kinds of fillers. For instance, some clients notice temporary swelling and bruising at the injection site, while others experience drooping eyelids and brows that can take several months before returning to normal. More serious side effects include trouble breathing or swallowing, which could indicate an infection. Please contact your trained injector with any questions or concerns. 

How long will the results of JUVÉDERM® last?

JUVÉDERM® will last approximately nine months to one year in the body and then will be reabsorbed. No guarantee can be made on the actual length of time of the results.

What can I expect during my JUVÉDERM® session?

Your JUVÉDERM® session will last approximately 30 to 45 minutes. Your JUVÉDERM® injection will feel like slight pricks, however our JUVÉDERM® injectors are highly trained to give you the best experience possible.
