It’s not uncommon for your skin to feel sensitive or prone to irritation following your dermaplane facial. While this is only temporary, it’s best to give your skin some time to calm down and rest before washing it. That’s why we suggest waiting at least four hours before washing your face with warm water and a gentle cleanser.
Wearing makeup too soon after your treatment could irritate your skin, causing breakouts or infections. To avoid inflaming your skin, we recommend waiting at least 24 hours before applying makeup so it has time to heal and recover from the treatment.
After waiting the recommended amount of time, gently apply your makeup with soft makeup brushes and sponges.
Here at dermani MEDSPA®, our dermaplane facials tend to take around 20 to 30 minutes. During that time, you can expect your professional service provider to review the procedure with you, prepare your skin for the facial, and then begin the treatment.
